In co-organization with the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese, and with the support of the Università degli Studi della Tuscia, INZEB — National Coordinator of the EU Climate Pact — and Europe Direct Region of Western Greece

Believing that young people are the most dynamic part of our society, Regional Growth Conference 2026 gives dozens of young people the opportunity to participate in the largest conference dedicated to Regional Development.

RGC 2026 will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Patras, at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras, and is co-organized with the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese, offering free educational activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

More specifically, every year RGC, in collaboration with the University of Patras, organizes a three-day workshop. This year’s workshop is titled “Developmental and Sustainable Policies in the Agri-Food and Tourism Sectors” and is designed to offer an interdisciplinary approach to these topics through lectures, presentations and group assignments, aiming to provide students with combined theoretical and empirical knowledge.

In addition, for yet another year, RGC offers an educational activity in the field of technology titled “Regional Tech Waves: Robotics, AI & XR”, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of the Peloponnese. More specifically, the educational activity is organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of the Peloponnese in Patras.

This activity offers a unique opportunity for professional development and education on topics covering the latest technological advancements. Through carefully selected themes, such as Networks and Communications, AR/VR and Cybersecurity, it is expected to provide a rich and comprehensive experience for all participants. In addition, the presence of specialized speakers and executives from leading companies facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience.

RGC 2026 continues to innovate by embracing new trends in science. Through its collaboration with leading universities in Greece and abroad, it offers participating students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in various scientific fields and benefit from the expertise of participating professors and researchers, market and business executives, as well as policymakers at national and regional level.
