In co-organization with the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese, and with the support of the Università degli Studi della Tuscia, INZEB — National Coordinator of the EU Climate Pact — and Europe Direct Region of Western Greece

Believing that young people are the most dynamic part of our society, the Regional Growth Conference gives dozens of young people the opportunity to take part in the RGC experience, the largest event dedicated to Regional Development.

For this year’s annual conference, RGC 2026, which will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Patras, at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras, RGC will collaborate with the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese, offering free educational activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

More specifically, every year RGC, in collaboration with the University of Patras, organizes a three-day Workshop. This year’s Workshop is titled “Developmental and Sustainable Policies in the Agri-Food and Tourism Sectors” and is designed to offer an interdisciplinary approach to the topic through lectures, presentations and group assignments, aiming to provide students with combined theoretical and empirical knowledge.

In addition, for yet another year, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of the Peloponnese, RGC is organizing an educational activity. More specifically, the activity titled “Regional Tech Waves: Robotics, AI & XR” is organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of the Peloponnese in Patras, with the support of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering — ECE, University of the Peloponnese — and constitutes an important initiative in the field of technology.

This activity offers a unique opportunity for professional development and education on topics covering the latest technological advancements. Through carefully selected themes, such as Networks and Communications, AR/VR and Cybersecurity, it is expected to provide a rich and comprehensive experience for all participants. In addition, the presence of specialized speakers and teaching staff from leading companies facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience.

RGC 2026 continues to innovate, embracing new trends in science and collaborating with the country’s universities. During the three days of the Conference, participating students will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in various scientific fields and benefit from the expertise of participating professors and researchers from the University of Patras and the University of the Peloponnese, as well as market and business executives and policymakers at national and regional level.
